Michael and I are both retired and loving it! We spent 6 years living abroad, got used to hot weather living in Malaysia, and couldn't face the Northwest weather anymore.....so here we are in the Tampa Bay area. We both enjoy the beach, so this is the perfect place. It is also a fun place for the grandkids to visit, since it's an easy drive to Disney World.

Karen and I live in the Ahtanum Valley and enjoy hiking and camping in the summer and snowmobiling in the Cascades near our home in the winter.  I retired from Darigold a few years ago and am now a school bus driver.  We have a 4 year old grand daughter that keeps us both very busy, too.  Life has been very good to us and we wish the best to my classmates and friends.

Lee and I live in Renton and I will be working at Weyerhaeuser for a few more years.  Lee is retired and keeps the grass cut and the home fires burning.  We are both golf addicts and enjoy playing wherever we travel.  After living in Southern CA (San Diego and Pasadena) 1989-1995, we are glad to be back in the northwest and closer to family, except for the rain! After graduating from high school I attended and graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 1972.  I was hired as the Aquatics Director for the St. Helens School District in Oregon and worked there for 13 years.  After leaving St. Helens in 1985 I have been working (and continue to work half time) for the Tigard School District as the Aquatics Director for two large swimming facilities.  In 2003 I "semi-retired", thus the half time work status.  I have a wife named Susan (we have been married for going on 27 years) and two college age kids.  Our oldest, Katie, will be attending the University of Portland nursing school this coming year and our son, Grant, will be continuing at Oregon State University for his second year.  In my spare time I enjoy woodworking, fishing, and family activities.

Although I still live in Yakima my life has been a journey filled with detours and changes of direction. My degree started me out in a career in Chemistry, but find myself working in the office of an electrical contractor. Two years spent in Ethiopia with the Peace Corps shortly after graduating from college instilled a love of travel and exploring that has not been quenched yet. And in 2004, my wife of 34 years passed away from advanced breast cancer. However, God brought another wonderful woman into my life and we were married in 2006. I had no children, but along with a lovely wife God gave me two fine young men for sons and now the oldest one has given me a beautiful granddaughter to love. I can say though, through all of those detours and changes, Jesus has walked with me, strengthening me, encouraging me, carrying me at times, maturing my faith and I am confident that no matter what comes my way in the future He will always be there until He carries me home.

After graduation from UW dental school 1976 I served for two years in the US Navy in San Francisco, Ca. (LCDR/retired). Barb and I have been married for 33 years and have two sons that have both graduated from the UW and are in the working world now. Our oldest son was married last year. We just opened a new dental clinic in Bellevue, WA. after 28 years in Redmond, Wa.  I am teaching part time at the UW dental school and help out with the Mercer Island high school wrestling team during winter qt.
